$1,000 Essay Scholarship

Entering an election season amidst a growing divide, we remind ourselves that the core of a functional democracy is to question, think, and vote.
We are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a California high school student that submits an essay, responding to this prompt:
What are your thoughts about the issues that have you question (what you hear), think (about the state of everything), and vote (in upcoming elections)?
Applications for the California Freethought Day High School Scholarship are due by 11:59 p.m. PDT on September 16, of the current year.

$100 Haiku Scholarships

Entering an election season amidst a growing divide, we remind ourselves that the core of a functional democracy is to question, think, and vote.
We are offering ten scholarships ($100 each) to high school and college students that share a haiku on social media, responding to this prompt:
What are your thoughts about the issues that have you question (what you hear), think (about the state of everything), and vote (in upcoming elections)?
Content must be shared by June 30, 11:59 PM PST, to qualify. Applicants may offer up to ten entries on social media, but may only win once.
