Getting to the Capitol
California Freethought Day will be at the California State Capitol Building, on the west steps.

Before you arrive, be sure to register to save time at check-in. It's free, and you'll receive a full-color program when you arrive.
For those not familiar with the Downtown Sacramento area, let us help you find your way:
Parking
⚠️ Sunday street parking is no longer free in the Capitol area.
There is a large parking structure for $5/day one block north of the Capitol (corner of 10th and L Street).
Be sure to check all street signs!
Carpooling
For those who prefer to carpool, please check with your local Meetup groups and other networks to make arrangements.
Public Transit
Travel at ease while saving the planet. Here's a few options:
🚌 SacRT
There is a SacRT bus stop two blocks east from the north side of the California State Capitol Building (on L Street between 7th and 8th). It serves lines 11, 30, 38, 62, 86, 88.
🚃 Amtrak
Take Amtrak to Sacramento, and after a one-mile walk you'll be at the Capitol. Use the Capitol Corridor route from the East Bay, or the San Joaquins route from Bakersfield.
Coming from Southern California? Take the Coast Starlight from Los Angeles to Sacramento and head back on Monday. Time it right, and you'll be able to attend Saturday's Reception.

🚃 LIGHT RAIL
Using the SacRT Light Rail, the Blue and Gold lines will take you within two blocks of the Capitol.
🚌 Yolobus
Use Yolobus from Davis (42B), West Sacramento (42B or 240), Woodland (42A), or the Airport (42A), for a direct route that leads to just two blocks from the Capitol.
Other
Other agencies provide transit to the Capitol, too! Check with El Dorado Transit, Fairfield, and Yuba/Sutter.
