As of 2017, California Freethought Day is incorporated in the State of California, and recognized by the IRS as a non-profit charitable organization with tax-exempt status, 501(C)(3).

All contributions to California Freethought Day are deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Online donors will receive an immediate email confirmation. All donations (except those made by cash without attribution) will receive a second email confirmation before the end of the current year.
